ČSOB notification concerning card payments for public transport

As a result of a service outage at our supplier, card payments for public transport passenger fares have not been charged in recent weeks. The supplier has corrected the problem and is currently posting additional transactions for paid fares, which may be cumulative for multiple journeys in one payment. The amount charged may therefore be composed of several tickets that the supplier’s system has combined into one transaction for the payment card used to pay for the fares.
The transport companies and carriers of the respective municipalities and cities are currently unable to resolve the situation, so if you need to verify the correctness of the combined payment, please contact us through our customer service line at +420 577 110 410. The customer line is operated by our partner and is available daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. At ČSOB we process all requests in the shortest possible time.
To make it easier to obtain information and speed up the processing of requests, we would like to ask you for some important information regarding the identification of a paid ticket. This will be of great help to us. Please provide us with:
- the amounts and dates of the transaction
- the masked number of your card linked to the account with the transaction (i.e. the card number with several selected digits replaced with another symbol, for example in the format 123456******7890)
- the variable symbol (VS) of the payment
- identification of the carrier or transport company (e.g. by means of the terminal number on the receipt or ticket, etc.).
We will use this information to check the tickets paid for by card and if the total amount does not match the amount charged, we will arrange for the money to be refunded to the account without undue delay.
